Char San Pedro is a feminist, friend, humanitarian, social entrepreneur, intersectional gender equality advocate, community-builder, orator, and writer.
She is the founder of Good To Be Good Foundation–a grassroots, non-profit community-based aid organization serving diverse vulnerable and underserved women and communities, while actively advocating for gender equality, social justice, and total equity. Good To Be Good’s local events and ongoing campaigns raise critical funds that support services, social programs, and charitable investments where the need is greatest.
A voracious entrepreneur with a background in modelling and a self-avowed polymath, Char is also the creative producer of 920 Films and a music manager at an independent label. Always a writer at heart, she often pens think-pieces on subjects of feminism, ecological sustainability, human rights, interconnectedness, and spiritual and social welfare on her website and online channels. With a colourful background that spans fashion, philanthropy, music, film, and wellness, Char’s inspirations are wide-ranging, but all driven by the same ethos—to radically include others, to be of service, to be rooted in love and humanity.
Char lives in Toronto where she volunteers at Sistering’s social enterprise SpunStudio, Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke, and Dixon Hall’s Out Of The Cold program working with local communities experiencing systemic poverty, and empowering marginalized women, self-identified women, and girls. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Youth Rising Above—a charitable organization whose mission is to help transform the lives of marginalized youth and young people through engaging and dynamic programming opportunities.
